Uber isn't cheaper in India, but most people in urban areas prefer taking it over local alternatives or taxis. The cars are actually regular taxis, but the Uber tax is worth it over taxis for the convenience and potential safety/driver verification.
I currently use hetzner and DO, but a while back when I was trying to find cheaper alternatives, and hetzner pretty good for its price to performance ratio. Smaller vps providers were crazy oversubscribed that would get pretty inconsistent performance.
None of the dedicated machines I found were cheaper, so I'm surprised someone is offering that for $35/month.
The problem is there are a class of problems that only appear after you go over the tip of what your system can handle, which are very difficult to predict or model.
Screenshots are much better for archival. So many times you go back to a url/link you shared, and poof it's gone or the content has changed from when you sent it.
Screenshots allows you to get a point in time reference to what you are sharing.
A self validating loop goes a long way with getting AI to optimize stuff. We had some builds that used to take a long time (15-20~ minutes), that i just asked Claude to reduce the build time. It brought it down to 2 minutes and under 10 seconds for incremental builds.
Turns out folks had been copy pasting some setup code which took 2 minutes to run, and only needed to be run once per environment. Claude refactored the code to get it to run once, and since we had tests which validated the build artifacts, it was able to roll back if its change had broke the build.
Dunno if this is the same issue, but someone found malware in their projector. I'm not sure about the accuracy since the report is blatantly AI generated: https://github.com/jrm360seclab/aodin-vo1d-malware
Use openWrt (https://openwrt.org), and use their hardware list to pick a consumer router with the feature set you need that can be flashed to use openWrt.
