Thankfully iOS rolled out a permissions prompt for this. Pretty illuminating just how often other apps read the clipboard, e.g. Google Maps reading my clipboard every time I tapped on the text field to search for a destination.
Yeah but horses to cars is insignificant compared to an AI that is going to swallow us all. We don't even have time to make new career choices because AI will catch up faster than we can think.

I suspect this degradation is happening because the AI labs are using the LLM's output to feedback into the input, to create a thinking loop, and they're optimizing that.
My current vibe/playing around setup is deepseek v4.1 flash with opus/sol as advisor agent, dsv4.1flash agents for self review and final review with opus/sol. I love how fast and cheap deepseek is. Using omp as harness.
Privacy policy is not great with deepseek api, but you are always just trusting their word with any hosted llm and in theory i could at least self host the models i use from deepseek.
I think we can go even further and say that IBM, Zeiss, several Japanese companies, and even the US Department of Energy are the actual foundation since ASML is largely just an integrator of many different technologies they license from elsewhere.
